Our Chapter History
During the summer of 2010, a small group of women met to discuss ways to be more intentional in the way they spent their remaining and fleeting time with their daughters. They endeavored to prepare their daughters to become successful college students, while further equipping and empowering them to become responsible, young adult women who make a difference in this world. One of the women knew of National Charity League, Inc. After much discussion and planning, the group made the decision to establish another NCL, Inc. Chapter in Western Wake County.
On November 1, 2010, with the passion and vision to serve their community and to strengthen their mother-daughter bonds, these women slated their founding board and incorporated the Carolina Lily Chapter with (43) Patronesses and (48) Ticktockers, a total of (91) members. The chapter started serving their community by partnering with 5 local philanthropies: SPCA, Ronald McDonald House, Interfaith Food Shuttle, Will Power/Hospital Foundation of NC, and Buddy Sports.
In April of 2012 the chapter was officially chartered, making the Carolina Lily Chapter the third chapter to form in the Triangle area.
Well established in western Wake County, the Carolina Lily Chapter is over 200 members strong, with an equally strong sustainer group. We are proud to share that the local philanthropies we serve has grown to over 20! See the list of the philanthropies we serve here.
